Founded in 1999, Northern Records is an inde­pen­dent music com­pany that focuses on the pro­duc­tion, pub­lish­ing, and dis­tri­b­u­tion of music that moves us.

We are in the busi­ness of mak­ing great records and mak­ing great records avail­able.
We can be a refuge or a step­ping stone…That is up to you.

We will not take respon­si­bil­ity for your career.

We will not make you famous.

Our deal includes exten­sive song­writ­ing and pro­duc­tion sup­port led by writer/​producer Andrew D. Prickett, demo and mas­ter record­ing at our stu­dio in the Los Angeles area, pub­lish­ing admin­is­tra­tion by Media Creature Music with film and tv rep­re­sen­ta­tion, and digital-​​only dis­tri­b­u­tion through RED Distribution (Sony BMG).

For tour­ing artists*, we can pro­vide all of the above plus a small bud­get for press, radio, and tour sup­port, as well as tra­di­tional (brick & mor­tar) dis­tri­b­u­tion through RED.

*An artist only qual­i­fies as a tour­ing artist AFTER they have estab­lished a con­sis­tent tour­ing sched­ule (at least 100 shows last year), proven the desire and abil­ity to finan­cially sus­tain them­selves on the road for an indef­i­nite period of time, and demon­strated a grow­ing national fan base.
